Samsung Galaxy Note II at Rs 39,990

Samsung Electronics launched its latest Galaxy device as part of efforts to better compete with Apple's newly released iPhone 5. Priced at Rs Rs 39,990 in India, the new version of the Note features a thinner and slightly bigger 5.5-inch screen, quad-core processor, the latest version of the Android operating system called Jellybean, and improved stylus function.

The Galaxy Note II is powered by the latest version of Android operating system, 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The device is equipped with a new 1.6 GHz quad-core processor that helps run multiple applications faster than the dual-core processor of the previous version.

It has 2GB of internal RAM; and comes with 16 GB of onboard file storage and supports up to 64GB of additional memory.

The Galaxy Note II has a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio and it it allows users to split the screen in half to view two programmes at once.

The device also comes with a much larger battery but weighs slightly less than the original Galaxy Note.

The S Pen has been redesigned to provide a more precise and natural writing and drawing experience. The new S Pen can sense 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, four times more than the original S Pen.

The new device has got 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front facing camera with HD (high definition) video recording.

The Galaxy Note II is available in Marble White and Titanium Gray color options.

It has 16GB internal storage with support for 64 GB expendable memory and a 3,100 mAh battery. Additional features include Air View, Quick Command and single hand operations.
